There is a simple reason why you should learn how to brainwash yourself.
The Story You Tell Yourself Is Damaging You.
The Movie In Your Mind Is limiting your success.
You are stuck in the matrix of your own mind.
The beliefs you hold about reality is either holding you back or empowering you.
What is the story you tell yourself every day?
When I was in my early 20's I told myself that I will just get a job, buy a house and live out the rest of my life.
I thought that would be cool and that was the limit for me.
Because I had that belief that's exactly where I was heading.
I was acting in accordance with that belief.
My actions were according to the script I wrote for myself.
I was acting out the movie that I was running in my mind.
It wasn't until I had a moment of clarity or a red pill moment that I realized I was living in a matrix or a dream.
I had unconsciously chosen the blue pill and lived in a fake reality limiting myself in every aspect of my life.
It wasn't until I had my red pill moment and realized my mindset was holding me back.
The beliefs of my world were holding me back.
This is what Carol Dweck in her book Mindset, refers to as a fixed mindset.
The Fixed Mindset is one where you believe you got certain fixed traits and have to live with them and accept them, you can't improve.
With this Fixed Mindset, you are stuck and have no hope for a better future.
Unfortunately this the mindset the majority of people have.
They believe nothing can change for them.
When I had my red pill moment everything started to change for me.
I opened a door in my mind that was closed before.
This door is the Growth Mindset.
The Growth Mindset is one that believes anything is possible through hard work, perseverance, courage, and consistency.
The Redpill does not promise or guarantee anything.
It just promises the truth of this world we live in.
The truth is that your mindset controls everything.
Or like Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you are right.”
Your belief system will control your success in life.
This the reason why sometimes “naturally gifted” people fail in life.
They think their “Talents ” are enough and then can't understand how an”untalented person” comes along and kicks their ass.
In many cases, the “untalented person” has a growth mindset and outworks anyone in their path.
The “untalented person” is constantly learning, growing and evolving.
The”untalented person” through their mindset builds incredible Mental Toughness by working hard on developing their skills, self-discipline, courage, and consistency.
The same applies to 2 “average people” with different mindsets.
Take the example of 2 brothers, they are twins.
Born in a poor family with a drug addict mother and drunk alcoholic father.
One brother becomes a drunk and failure.
The other works himself through community college to start a business and become very rich and successful.
So here we have 2 people in the exact same circumstances and they are identical twins.
Why the different outcome?
The difference between these 2 brothers was the mindset.
The one brother believed nothing was possible for him and acted in accordance with that belief.
The other brother believed that he was destined to do great things and live a good life.
Both of them acted in accordance with the movies that were playing in their minds.
What movie are you playing in your mind?
What vision do you have about yourself in your mind?
How do you really see yourself?
What vision do you have for your future?
What do you believe about yourself?
But let's get to the basics of how to brainwash yourself.
How To Brainwash Yourself
You can make a choice right now and create a powerful vision of yourself:
(1)Create a vision of yourself.
Write down on a piece of paper how you see your imaginary perfect self. Or how would you like to see yourself?
Use your imagination and think how awesome you could be.
For example:
” I am a successful entrepreneur, author, blogger, and publisher. I travel the world and have amazing experiences with great people. I am healthy, disciplined, hardworking, focused and live with honor and integrity. My goals are important and every day I focus on them and work extremely hard to achieve them.”
(2)Get some images of role models
Get some images of role models that you admire or qualities that you admire and look at them every day.
Get pictures of your heroes, let them inspire you.For example, one of the men that I admire for his leadership is Marcus Aurelius.
(3)Look at this written description and pictures of yourself
Look at this written description and pictures of yourself every evening before bed and when you get up first thing in the morning.
Work on imprinting these ideas and images in your mind.
(4)Write down a list of 10 affirmations that will empower your mind even further.
You need to build a new belief system in your mind and affirmations will help you build these new beliefs you have in yourself.
You can also read your favourite positive affirmations and record them.
Then listen to your affirmations in your car or while lying in bed.
Affirmations might feel corny or stupid, but they work.
Affirmations are powerful and they will help you to start believing in yourself.
For example,”Every day in every way I'm getting stronger and stronger.”
(5)Next, write down a list of goals that are aligned with this new vision for yourself.
Every morning read and write down these goals so they become part of you.
By doing this every morning it will drive you to start acting according to your new vision of yourself and force you to go after your goals.
Slowly you will start living these visions you have for yourself.
(6)Be consistent in these new habits.
To create a new movie in your mind will be hard work and you must be consistent.
The old program in your mind will be strong and dominant so you will have to work hard to take control of your mind.
By being consistent and keeping on going even when going through obstacles will change your life.
If you start becoming the director of your own movie you will start seeing results in your life that you didn't think was possible.
