We have become overloaded with information and that is not a bad thing.

It just creates new challenges to finding the right balance between new information and not getting totally lost in it.

A bigger challenge with all the information floating around is the ability to think for yourself.

A lot of people like to boast and talk about doing their own thing.

But how many really keep their creative mindset?

I'm 100% in favor of reading, video courses, and consulting with skillful people.

But I'm also aware that whatever I'm learning should be used as a road map, but a road map with options.

For example, if the map tells you to drive straight and you realize a tree fell over the road and you cant continue then you need to look for different options.

You have to find another way.

Unfortunately, we have now reached a point where a lot of people have lost the ability to think for themselves and experiment with different options.

If a “tree” falls over their roads, they are lost and just give up.

For example, if I give you a book with step-by-step instructions on how to start an online buiness then it's fine to follow the steps.

But what if your idea doesn't fit exactly into the framework of the book?

Are you just going to quit or are you going to adapt and find a way to make it work?

Self-Discipline

Diet and exercise are other examples.

Maybe you read somewhere that you need to eat a lot of carbs before a big game because it will give you the energy you need to get through the challenges waiting for you.

But every game after eating pasta you feel tired but everyone else is high on energy.

Well, your body is different, maybe you need to eat steak before a game?

What about dating?

Men will read a dating book to try and improve their social intelligence in a dating scenario.

They read the book follow the guidelines but within this process, they lose their ability to adapt and be creative.

They just stay within the narrow confines of what they learned.

alpha mindset

It's like they are walking on a crystal staircase and they are petrified of stepping too hard and breaking the whole thing.

In life, if you want to win, you need to be willing to risk.

You need to be willing to step outside the line.

You need to be willing to break that crystal staircase in your pursuit of winning.

How To Start Thinking For Yourself

Learn new things, but be willing to ask questions, experiment, adapt to find a way that works for you.

Because guess what?

You are unique.

What works for me won't work exactly the same way as it works for you.

Sure take the structure that I share with you in a book or a video, but make it your own.

Shape it, change it, adapt it, and improvise so that it fits into your specific scenario.

think for yourself

Conclusion

Don't be afraid to be different.

What makes you different will make you stand out.

And Standing out will get you noticed and that will get you to the next level.

Playing safe and following the crowd will only get you following the sheep down the cliff.

Lions learn their lessons but always find their own way to the prize.

They don't follow, they lead.

Until next time…
