So something bad happened to you.

Or maybe your whole story so far is sad?

I don't know?

Maybe you lost your job?

Maybe your upbringing sucks?

Maybe your girlfriend or wife left you?

Maybe you had a serious illness?

Maybe a friend fucked you over?

Maybe you lost all your money?

Maybe a business you started failed?

Maybe you got a serious injury?

Whatever your sad story is I don't know.

What I do know is what usually happens.

We go into that space of self-pity.

We start to wallow in self pity.

We build our situation up into something special.

We start feeling sorry for ourselves.

We start telling other people about our misery.

Talking Too Much

The more we share our sad story, the more attention we get.

Then we start feeding off that attention.

Then that sad story becomes your identity.

We all know people like this.

You know?

We all know a Stuart or Mike or whatever his name is who's girlfriend left him, lost all his money or some other sad story.

You know more about his sad story than you about him as a person.

The problem is the unfortunate story became the person.

This is the danger of self-pity.

It starts with a shitty situation and then we feel sorry for ourselves and the whole thing snowballs into a story.

I'm here to tell you its all bullshit.

If you are in a bad situation right now where you are stewing in self-pity then stop.

Stop right now.

You should never wallow in self pity.

If you keep on going down this road, you might never come back.

I have seen this happen with so many guys.

They build up the sad story followed by the sad identity and ends up with anti-depressants and suicide attempts.

I get it, some people really do need help, but the current culture we live in is toxic.

It's so toxic that if you put your feet into this current of self-pity the river will take you downstream and you are gone.

Welcome to the world of the victim.

The victim culture has gotten so out of control that most people today walking the earth are seen as victims.

The Soft World

The world has become so soft and coddled that safe spaces have become the norm.

We have moved so far from our foundation as a civilization that we have lost touch with what real hardship means.

In today's world where people get upset by words and need safe spaces for ideas, they don't like its a highly toxic environment.

It's so sad that it's almost a victim Olympics.

They argue over which group is the biggest victim. Its sad but it happens every day.

“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

-G. Michael Hopf

We are living in the most prosperous time in history.

However many forget that this a blip in the bigger picture of time.

Things will change again and expose the weakness of society.

Who will you be then when things start falling apart?

Will you be strong for yourself, your family and the people you care about?

If you allow yourself to be seduced by the current madness of victim-hood and emotional addiction you are in danger.

“I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.”

– D. H. Lawrence

You need to go back to the fundamentals of being a man.

That is firstly realizing how lucky and spoilt you are right now.

If you are reading this, you are doing pretty good for yourself.

You have access to the internet and a computer.

You probably have a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in.

You are doing OK.

Doesn't matter how bad things might seem right now you are not a victim.

If you feel like shit right now and feel like your back is against the wall, then stop and take a deep breath.

You are OK.

Remember there is an immense fire that is simmering deep inside you.

That is the strength of your ancestors and the sacrifices they made to survive and led to you being born.

Fuel that fire inside you and listen to that voice inside you that tells you to get up and start moving forward.

Go back to where you know you will find strength.

Where Do You Go?

Your Will

Find that voice inside you.

It's your will that is stirred on by strong men that gave you the right to be here.

Start by knowing the fact that you are here today.

This means you have the strength to overcome immense obstacles if you choose to do so.

Your Spirit

Your spirit is closely connected to your will.

Find a place of quiet where you can clear your mind and connect with the universe or God.

You don't need to be a religious person to know that we live in a world with immense energy and power.

You can tap into this as all the greats have before us.

Find your connection to the universe, God, the force or yourself.

But get a quiet spot that is yours and make it yours.

Make this the place where you recharge through meditation, prayer or just a quiet walk through the forest or park.

We are disconnected from ourselves and the infinite wisdom of the universe.

Technology has numbed our natural strength and power.

Get back to that clear-minded ways by just being with your thoughts or no thoughts at all.

Just be with yourself and be OK with it.

Put off your phone and all the other garbage and take 30 min a day just for your self.

Your Body And The Iron

Your body will work for you if you work for it.

How do you work for your body?

You give it the Iron.

The Iron is one of man's oldest allies.

In the Iron, you will find a friend that you can rely on.

Lifting weights and doing traditional compound exercises will make your body and mind strong.

It will create strength where there was none.

It will prepare you physically and mentally for the battles that lie ahead.

We don't just lift to look good, we do it because we have to.

You need strength and the iron is the only thing that will give it to you.

It will teach you valuable lessons in hard work, discipline, and perseverance.

It will show you your limits and keep you humble.

Push it too hard and it will punish you with an injury.

Don't work hard enough and it will punish you with no results.

One thing you can count on that the iron will always be there for you.

All you have to do is show up.
