In a modern world where things seem to change faster and faster some things never change.

There are always some things men need to know in order to survive on this planet.

Not only survive but also thrive.

We don't pass responsibility we look for it.

In the history of men, there have always been some things that never change.

In the modern world, there are things that you have to learn or improve.

Only then be able to go after your goals and stay on your mission or life purpose.

There are also things that are your responsibility.

When you live by a code you don't reject these things.

You happily accept them and become good at them.

Here Are A List Of Things A Modern Man Need To Know:

how to fight

1.How To Fight

If you are a man then you have no excuses about being ready to defend yourself in a physical confrontation.

Chances are very high that at some stage of your life you will have to step up and confront some bad dudes.

You will probably have no choice whether you want to or not.

You have no control over that situation from happening.

What you do have control over is your preparation for that potential situation.

Ask yourself what you will do if you are with your girlfriend, wife or family and you need to step up?

Will you be able to handle the regret if you knew you could have prepared but you didn't.

Every Man Is A Fighter

Every man is a fighter whether he knows it or not.

It's your duty to defend yourself and those you care about.

You can't just shift the responsibility to someone else.

It's on you.

How do you prepare?

Well, firstly you need to get physically strong.

Get in the gym and lift heavy, run and stretch.

Nothing fancy, stick with your traditional compound exercises.

Stretch or do yoga once or twice a week so your body can be flexible and adaptable.

Make sure your cardio is good with one long run and 2 sprinting sessions through the week at a minimum.

Now let's get to the fighting part. Choose one of the foundational martial arts.

The foundational arts are Jiujitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai or wrestling.

I recommend Gracie JiuJitsu.

And I specifically recommend the Gracie Academy.

They have a foundational Self Defense Program that is the first thing you learn.

Right of the bat they get you street ready.

You will learn how to handle yourself on the street.

If you want to build on top of that go do a Krav Maga class once a week.

JiuJitsu is the foundation but then build on top of that.

2.How To Communicate Like a Master.

Your communication skills will be one of the most important assets you have.

The way you communicate will determine to a large extent whether you succeed in life or not.

You will be needing to communicate your ideas, manage conflicts, negotiate, seduce, charm and sell yourself on this planet.

Communication is not just your words and tone, it's also your body language.

In fact, 90% of our communication is with our bodies.

So you better understand how you use your own body and read how others use their bodies to express what they feel.

You need to improve your knowledge of emotional and social intelligence to understand the complexities of social dynamics.

Read books and watch people.

Do whatever it takes to get better and understanding the world around you.

You will after a period of study realize that everything on this planet depends on communication.

You have to become a master of communication.

3.How To Dress Well

If you are reading this blog then you want to improve yourself and get better in all areas of life.

Looking good and taking pride in your appearance is a big part of it.

When I lived in the UK I didn't put much focus on fashion and looking good.

However when I moved to Asia in my late 20's everything changed.

I spend a lot of time in South Korea and Japan.

Both those countries take appearances seriously.

Its part of their culture to look your best when you leave your house.

Japan is serious about this but South Korea take sit to a whole new level.

I talked before about how great the women look in Korea.

One of the reasons is the way they dress and take pride in their appearance.

The pride Koreans and Japanese take in how they present themselves rubbed off on me.

Whenever I travel I like to learn and take positives with me.

In Korea and Japan I improved my sense of style and also improved the way I presented myself to the world.

You start feeling better when you are dressed well and stand out from your average Joe on the street.

Make the way you dress an expression of who you are.

Just make sure you look good and ask for a second opinion.

Most store assistants will be happy to give you some feedback and healthy criticism.

When you look good and have pride in the way you look your self esteem and confidence will improve.

You will also contribute to making the world more interesting and stand out from all the mediocre losers walking around.

4.How To Have A Sheepdog Mindset.

For those of you who don't know about the sheepdog mindset yet then let me give you a quick explanation.

There are 3 types of people in the world.

  • Sheep

The majority of people are sheep. They walk around the world totally unaware that they have targets on their backs.

They are unaware of their surroundings and the potential dangers hidden in plain sight. Most sheep are soft and complaisant.

They have been seduced by modern life and convenience. This makes them vulnerable and easy targets for all kinds of dangers lurking in the shadows.

  • Wolves

Wolves are the people in society that prey on sheep.

The wolf has one mission.

They target sheep and do whatever they want with them.

They know that sheep sleepwalking through life and that they are easy targets.

The sheep provide them with whatever they want.

Wolves find joy in attacking sheep and destroying their lives.

Wolves are dangerous and well trained in the ways of the world.

  • Sheepdogs

The last group is Sheepdogs.

Sheepdogs are men that have the same or better skill set than the wolves and are trained to survive and overcome most situations coming their way.

The sheepdog is independent and protects sheep whenever they can.

Sheepdogs Have the following qualities:

-Awareness

The Sheepdog is very aware of what is going on around him.

He is always profiling and picking up if something is wrong.

He always positions himself in an advantaged position.

By being aware the sheepdog help prevents, avoid, or respond to threats to himself and those around him.

5.How To Start A Business.

Starting a successful business from nothing is going to be one of the hardest things you have ever done.

It's going to ask everything from you.

It's going to challenge you in ways you never expected.

However, the rewards of building and running a business are massive.

Whether you see yourself as a “Business Man” or not you are a business.

In the modern world, no job is safe anymore. You have to run yourself like a business.

Start by finding ways to make money on the side?

So how do we start something when we have no resources to get going?

You become resourceful and use the tools you have.

The one tool we all have that is Free is the internet.

You can walk into a coffee shop and get online.

There you can open your laptop and boom!

Now you have access to a global market.

There are a lot of ways to start making money online.

For example, start writing ebooks and sell them online.

things a man should know

6.How To Be Resourceful.

One of the biggest excuses I hear from guys on why they didn't do something is because they didn't have the resources.

They say things like:

“I don't have a laptop to start a business”

” I don't have the money to start my own business

“I can't afford to invest in books and courses”

“I don't have time to start my own business because my job keeps me too busy”

“I'm don't know how to speak to women”

“I'm not a runner”

” I can't afford a Gym membership”

“I didn't Talk to the girl because she was talking to her friends”

“I can't afford healthy food”

Whatever your excuse is I'm here to tell you that it's all bullshit. If something is important enough for you then you will find a way.

If something is an absolute must for you then you will find a way to make it happen.

The problem is that most guys are stuck in their cozy little reality where they get comfortable.

Comfort equals stagnation.

Forget about being comfortable.

How about trying the opposite and start looking for uncomfortable situations so you can find solutions to all the problems.

For example, if you don't have a computer then go to the library.

Don't have a gym membership?Go to the park and do pull ups, push ups and other body-weight exercises.

Not a runner? Bullshit become a runner. Turn yourself into a runner.

Don't know how to talk to girls? Then learn game! Read, learn from experienced guys and try until you become good at it.

Don't have money? Get a job and save.

Don't have time to start a business? Then stop washing all the bullshit TV shows and sit down and work on your new YouTube Channel, blog or book.

Can't afford healthy food? Stop drinking alcohol, smoking and eating junk food. Take that money and buy a big bag of rice,a box of eggs and a pack of minced meat.

Done!

Whatever it is find a way to make it happen.

Nobody cares about excuses.

Become resourceful and make things happen.

Just make it an absolute must and you will find a way.

7.Being Adaptable

“It is not the most intellectual of the species that survives; it is not the strongest that survives; but the species that survives is the one that is able to adapt to and to adjust best to the changing environment in which it finds itself”

– Charles Darwin,“Origin of Species.”

On this planet, things change fast.

One thing you can be absolutely certain of is bad things will happen.

What are you going to do when chaos breaks out and things start falling apart around you?

This could be in any one area of life or all of them.

It's our responsibility to always be ready.

You can only be ready if you live your life with the mindset of a warrior.

A warrior is always prepared.

He is even prepared when he isn't prepared for a specific situation.

The warrior code has prepared him for adversity.

The warrior code is living by a set of rules and standards that never changes.

This code is a discipline of daily actions that seem on the surface like just repetitive actions with no meaning.

But the warrior knows these actions is keeping his blade sharp.

Actions like the following :

-Staying strong and fit with daily workouts.

Meditation and learning.

-Daily perseverance with projects and goals

-The daily hammering of the fundamental mindset principles.

-Things like going to JiuJitsu when your back is hurting and its cold outside

-You take these actions week after week when you don't feel like it. You keep sharpening that blade.

All those things are sharpening your blade.

So when everything starts falling apart around you don't cower away in the corner.

You turn around and face it.

Your sword has-been sharpened by your way of life.

You know what to do.

You know you will find a way because you are resourceful and you will find another way.

If you hit a wall you make a hole and build a door.

If you find an ocean you build a boat and go across.

Whatever it is you adapt.

You keep moving forward.
